Results & Resolutions

War System

Discussion began with a 3v3 duel template and associated rules proposed by the Blue Sultanate. A key question was raised: "If I want to conquer, do I also need consent?" The answer was yes — in line with the main server rules.

Outcome: While members of the summit did not agree with an occupied nation losing its vote in the summit, it was ultimately agreed that the gains and losses experienced by nations engaged in a war must be decided between themselves. However, they must submit a Document of War to the World Summit International Communications channel — including their rules of engagement, outcomes of conflict, and other evidence of mutual consent.

Nations may declare over anything, but if the opposing party does not consent, the declaration is null and void per server rules.

War document proposal

The system proposed by the Sultanate works as a guideline and template. Nations can customize their documents of war — they don't necessarily have to follow it exactly. This will soon be formalised through a modification to the Draft Charter of Nations.

Rulership of Multiple Nations & Vassals

It was agreed that a Potentate may not rule or own multiple nations with separate votes within the summit. They will be treated as one governing body and thus receive only one vote. This applies to their vassal states and colonies as well.

Vote Correction

One previously counted vote was disregarded — the system now reflects 5 votes instead of 6. This amendment will be added to the Draft Charter of Nations shortly.

Nation Hall Regulations

Organisations and entities not regarded as nations must clearly mark themselves as such. For vassals and colonies, their banner must be placed next to the overseer's banner.

The Head Manager, Lord Chicken Eric, will determine how the hall's rules are written, how the hall is built, and the pecking order for sub-managers. Details will be worked out amongst the hall staff and shared with the Shadow Dominion should their intervention be required.

Festivals & Molelympics

As a means of giving back to the world, the summit agreed by majority vote to send representatives to ongoing events and festivals (this participation is optional). An optional Festival Fund was also brought up and approved.

The Fund will function as a chest — perhaps near the Hall of Nations — that tracks items contributed, who added what, and who removed what. Members may contribute diamonds, food, construction materials, or any item they feel would support a festival event. Proposed usage and festival manager will be discussed in #international-communications.

Any nation may propose a festival.

Regarding the Molelympics, members of the summit agreed that the Bean Kingdom and its Potentate King Beangod will manage and host the first-ever Molelympics. They will submit a time, date, and format for the games in due course.

Molelympics Participation

The Molelympics provide a chance for independents to join as part of a particular nation's team without needing citizenship. A calendar must be created soon for both the Molelympics and Festivals.

New Land Claim Criteria

To aid nation development, it was proposed that banners and walls alone are insufficient to mark borders. Nations with large claims must also include:

  • A visible structure such as towns or outposts (roughly a chunk, not a single block)
  • A public world map so nations can see each other's borders and newer members don't accidentally encroach on others' plans

Details are being worked out and will be submitted to the Shadow Dominion for implementation.

Colloquial Name for the World

For lore purposes, the summit discussed what the roleplay world should be called. The result drew two names depending on whom you speak to:

  • The World of MoleCraft — the Common Tongue name
  • Olera — the local/regional name

World naming poll

More polls for common terms describing cardinal regions and other frontiers of the world will be held in #international-communications to further enhance worldbuilding.

Newly Dead Nations

A majority agreed that The Kingdom of Dankington and The Iron Wall be regarded as dead nations due to inactivity and failure to attend any World Summits. Their votes have been lost, and their banners moved to the Hall of the Dead.

Despite their status, Dankington and The Iron Wall will be remembered for their contributions: - Dankington — for slaying the server's first dragon and holding onto the server Dragon Egg - The Iron Wall — for its castle

Should their former Potentates return and wish for a revival of their nations, that remains possible.

Announcements

  • The Vagabonds, Varangians Rest, and The Kingdom of Doom and Despair have been formally declared as recognised Nations by the Bean Kingdom, the Yggdrasil Commune, and the Kingdom of High Roost respectively. They are now part of the Summit.
  • The Order of Barsus and its vassal state, The Blue Sultanate, have declared war — marking the server's first ever conflict. The details of the war, in accordance with the new War System, will be posted by them in the coming days and weeks.

Next Steps

The next summit will be hosted by Varangians Rest. The exact date will be discussed in the World Summit Schedule Thread.

Reminder

Independents (non-Potentates) and nation attendees accompanying their Potentate may not vote during the summit. Their answers in polls were disregarded and uncounted.
